To throw a Hollywood party theme, you need to decide early on what kind of party it is going to be. A Hollywood party can be broken down into a theme from a particular movie, movie characters or perhaps even an Oscar night.

Once you have decided upon a theme, it will be much more convincing if you are careful to exclude all other themes from your party planning.

You should send your invitations out on a cardboard cut out of an Oscar statue and have it addressed to the VIP.

Get some movie related props for decoration such as; famous props such as a Walther PPK, movie posters, famous signs such as Broadway, Hollywood Boulevard and the Hollywood sign, a directors chair and everybody has glossy magazines to spread around.

You could play the soundtrack from your favorite movie for the music. Otherwise there are the obvious classics such as Stardust and Singing in the Rain.

An ideal food choice would be simple finger buffets but have plenty of choice. Though consider hiring a waiter to add a touch of class.

The obvious choice of drink for your Hollywood “A listers” would be champagne. Place bottles in coolers around the room and near some of your props. Your waiter could also serve the drinks.
